Philipsburg:--- President of the Windward Islands Chamber of Labour Unions (WICLU) Theophillus Thompson is urging the youths of St. Maarten that are involved in the production of videos to participate in the international contest organized by the International Labour Organization(ILO). Thompson made the announcement during the WICLU weekly press conference on Thursday. Thompson said the ILO has sent out an invitation to youngsters between the ages of 18 to 29 years via the WICLU. The contest is aimed at featuring how the job crisis is affecting them. Winners from the various islands participating will receive an all expense paid trip to Geneva Switzerland to attend the ILO youth employment forum which will be held from May 23 to May 25, 2012.Persons that are interested in participating on St. Maarten are requested to attend an information session on Sunday at the WIFOL building on the Pondfill at 4pm. All videos for the contest must be submitted no later than April 10, 2012.
