NEW YORK, NY:--- St. Maarten will be extensively promoted and featured on the internationally syndicated "The Dr. Oz Show" on television airing on Tuesday, May 1 to highlight a segment promoting relaxation as a health benefit. This international promotional exposure is a result of a negotiated placement by KTCpr, the public relations agency for North America for the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau.
The Dr. OZ Show will be promoting St. Maarten six times throughout the one-hour television show culminating with a video and photos of a prize giveaway at the end of the show in which five couples will win 5-night vacation stays at the Divi Little Bay Resort on St. Maarten. St. Maarten Tourist Board will be providing air tickets for the five pairs of winners.
The promotion doesn't end with the airing of the show. Potential winners must first go to the Dr. Oz website at www.DoctorOz.com to sign up. Winners will be drawn at random following a two-week online promotional period in which St. Maarten and Divi Little Bay Resort will be featured on the Dr. Oz website.
"This is just one recent example of the aggressive efforts and results that our representative public relations and advertising agencies are accomplishing on behalf of St. Maarten and our tourism industry," said May-Ling Chun, Acting Director of Tourism for St. Maarten.
The internationally famous Dr. Oz was originally featured on the Oprah Winfrey show and spun off into his own daytime show which air on networks every Monday through Friday. To find a local station that airs the show go to www.doctoroz.com/find-station.
"We appreciate the support that the St. Maarten Hotel & Trade Association (SHTA) and the St. Maarten Timeshare Association (SMTA) have provided and the many hotels that are working with us on the extensive promotions that we have been developing to promote the destination," said Richard Kahn, president of KTCpr.
"We had a half dozen hotels offering prizes for this Dr. Oz promotion, but could only use one because of the limitations that the show set for the on air exposure," Kahn added.
