Ramesis Jamaloodin sends Letter to Governor and Minister Requesting that they revoke Jamorama's License --- Says Sole Shareholder under Investigation.

ramesisjamaloodin17082012Philipsburg:--- Ramesis Jamaloodin, the half brother of Robertico Dos Santos who is the owner of Robbie's Lottery has taken another step against Dos Santos on Friday. Besides the numerous court cases, Jamaloodin has sent a letter to the Governor of St. Maarten drs. Eugene Holiday and the Minister of Tourism and Economic Affairs Romeo Pantophlet requesting that they revoke the license the government of St. Maarten granted to Robertico Dos Santos on May 15th 2012,

Jamaloodin in his letters to Governor Holiday and Minister Pantophlet stated that Jamaroma Lotteries (dba as R.L. Lottery) obtained Nummerloterij license pursuant to the Lotterijverordening of 1909 and May 18 1999. According to Jamaloodin, the license Dos Santos obtained was valid for ten years.

Jamaloodin further explained that every night since May 18th 2009 Jamorama draws Nummerloterij under the name "Smart Play" and the "The Daily Numbers Game" without a license. Jamaloodin said Dos Santos has a license to sell lotto and Kraslotto and he is not licensed to draw numbers. He said to draw numbers the government of St. Maarten is required to issue Dos Santos with a Nummerloterij permit.

Jamaloodin based his request to revoke Don Santos' license on the fact that Dos Santos is under investigation for fraud and money laundering, the so called "BIENTU INVESTIGATION." Jamaloodin reminded the Minister and Governor that because of these suspicions the police raided the homes and businesses of Robertico Dos Santos both on St. Maarten and Curacao. Jamaloodin said that it is extremely strange that the former Minister of Economic Affairs would grant a license to someone who is under a serious investigation, thus he feels that the fact that Dos Santos is under investigation the former Minister had sufficient reason to put the license on hold. He questions the rush in which the former Minster granted the license because based on the preamble of the license it was requested since April 28th 2004.

He said granting the license when there is such a scandal is in conflict with one of the provisions of the Loterijverdening of 1909 especially where it concerns the character and good morals of the permit holder.
