Why the name change? With other organizations using the name to promote their culinary events, the 4 organizers thought it best to avoid confusion and start fresh with a new name, new faces and new rules.
In order to partake in this competition you must be employed at an established restaurant, hotel or resort on the Dutch side, Sint Maarten, and must have the necessary documents needed to travel. The format has also changed:
- The participating chefs have to prepare a 3 – course menu for 4 persons
- Each course will have a Mystery basket with specific ingredients that must be used in the recipe.
- Registration Fee $ 100.00 (Competition is limited to max. 15 Chefs)
Closing date for registration is: March 10, 2012
The competition will be held on March 24 at the Sundial School from 10 am to 6 pm. The competition will be held in two shifts. Group 1 from 10 am – 12:30 pm and group 2 from 1:30 pm – 4 pm. Organizers are looking for sponsors to cover the ingredients and prizes.
