Marigot:--- The Gendarmes have arrested three persons that are the prime suspects of several armed robberies. A press release from the Gendarmerie states that on September 5th, 2012, a judicial operation was conducted in the Sandy Ground area and three persons were arrested as the main suspects of several armed robberies which were committed during the summer holidays in Marigot and Sandy Ground. During the operation, several homes were searched. Two of the three suspects appeared before the judicial authority in Guadeloupe and their detention was extended on September 7th, 2012.
