Philipsburg:--- On Thursday March 29, 2012, members of the Sint Maarten Police Force acting on a tip of the D.E.A. (Drug Enforcement Administration) were successful in arresting two suspects for illegal drugs possession. The initials of these men are R.F.B. and V.W. originating from the islands of Sint Kitts and Dominica. The arrests took place at around 7:30pm during which time a very large amount of marijuana was confiscated. A hotel room was also searched in connection with this investigation.
The D.E.A. is an American organization that is active worldwide combating the drugs trade and has a very good working relationship with our local police department. An investigation into this case is ongoing.
