GRAND CASE:--- The family of a young man got bad news on Mother's Day shortly after 3:30pm on Sunday. Eyewitnesses at the scene said the young motorcycle rider got into a serious and fatal accident in the vicinity of the "Cuisine Central" des Ecole on Grand Case main road.
The eyewitnesses further stated that the young rider suffered several serious injuries for example both his arms and legs were broken. Medical workers that were on the scene examined the victim and realized that he apparently died on the spot and while workers from the Ambulance Department worked on the victim for quite some time to obtain a heartbeat they did not manage to revive him.
Several calls to the Captain of the Gendarmerie Sylvain Jouault and Commandant Paul Betaille went unanswered Sunday afternoon. SMN News even tried contacting Vice Prosecutor Flavien Noailles but his phone went directly to voicemail.
Reliable sources identified the victim as a DJ from Radio 95, they said he is known as Odilon Williams from Grand Case and works along with DJ Patrice on his radio program "Under the Sand Box Tree".
Up to the time this article was updated the Commandant of the Gendarmerie Paul Betaille could not be reached by phone. SMN News also could not reach the Captain of the Gendarmerie or Vice Prosecutor Flavien Noailles for comment.
