Thank you, United Artist Groningen.

unitedartists12032018Great Bay:--- Several weeks after Hurricane Irma decimated our island, Mr. Glenn Gressman contacted May-Ling Chun, member of the Board of the Charlotte Brookson Academy of the Performance Arts on behalf of the Foundation United Artist Groningen in the Netherlands.
Mr. Gressman informed Ms. Chun that the Foundation was in the process of organizing fundraising events, of which the proceeds would be donated to worthy projects on St. Maarten in order to alleviate the suffering caused by the hurricane. Mrs. Chun conveyed this information to the management of CBA, which proposed to the Foundation to donate towards the replacement of students’ uniforms, which were lost when Irma destroyed their homes.
In the month of January management was happy to learn that the Board of the Foundation had transferred an amount of 1.500 Euros for the purchasing of a total of 9 uniforms and cardigans for students who had lost their uniforms during the storm. Pictured below are several of those students, expressing their gratitude to the Foundation.
The School Board, as well as Management, is extremely grateful to the United Artist Groningen, who donated of their time and talent to raise funds for our students. It is touching that persons in the far away Netherlands have opened their hearts and pocketbooks to assist our students on St. Maarten.
To those persons, we send warm and sunny greetings from the Charlotte Brookson Academy of the Performance Arts on St. Maarten and we say: “Thank you, thank you, thank you for your kindness and generosity!”
