GREAT BAY (DCOMM):---Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), announces that utility company NV GEBE will be carrying out civil works on June 9, 10 and 11.
These works will take place in Little Bay along the main road near the entrance to Divi Little Bay Resort. Motorists are advised to drive with extreme care as workmen will be working in the area.
On Saturday, June 9, work crews will check holes starting at 7.00AM.
On Sunday, June 10, cutting and trench works will take place to locate a damage cable. Splicing works will also commence once the damage cable has been located. These works commence at 7.00AM.
Half of the road will be closed to vehicular traffic. There will be traffic control measures in place: two flag men will be on both sides of the closed section to assist with the flow of vehicular traffic.
On Monday, June 11, these works should be completed. The contractor responsible for carrying out the works is Washington Construction.
Motorists are advised to be observant of traffic cones, workmen and machinery/materials, and therefore to drive with caution along Little Bay road in connection to the safety of the workmen.
