PHILIPSBURG:--- Today, NAGICO Insurances unveiled a new insurance product called the NAGICO Hurricane Xtra Policy. It’s designed as a supplemental coverage to insure items around your home that are not typically covered against hurricane damage under the standard Homeowners Policy.
“Based on feedback from our clients and because the standard Homeowners Policy does not cover certain outdoor items and fixtures, we realized that there was a need for a policy that could fill this coverage gap and the Hurricane Xtra Policy was created,” Dwayne Elgin; CEO of NAGICO explained. “The beauty about this coverage is how simplified and hassle-free the claim process for this policy is and you the client get to decide how much coverage you want to purchase.”
The NAGICO Hurricane Xtra Policy does not require estimates or adjuster involvement, so there is a faster payout which you can use to cover any expense you deem necessary to get you back on your feet as soon as possible after a disaster. Best of all, there is no deductible.
“It is important to note that the Hurricane Xtra is not a replacement coverage for a standard Homeowner’s Policy. It is a policy designed to complement your existing Homeowners Policy so that items that are not covered under the traditional policy can be insured under the Hurricane Xtra in the event of a hurricane.” said Mr. Elgin.
Examples of items that can be covered under this policy are: air condition units, gazebos, satellite dishes, outdoor light fixtures, fences etc.
