Road paving to kick off this week.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The Minister of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure (VROMI), Miklos Giterson, announces that the start of the Road Paving/Patching Maintenance Program 2018 is scheduled to kick-off the week of August 27th, 2018. This program will focus on the repaving or re-patching of a number of roads in the different districts as part of the Ministry’s responsibility to maintain the island’s infrastructure. The Ministry has purchased 2000 metric tons of asphalt with which to carry out these works.

The Department of Public Works has put together an extensive list and works, which are expected to continue for the remainder of the year, will first focus on repairing the main roads and then move over to the secondary roads. The Ministry will strive to have as little interruption to the traffic flow as possible however the Ministry asks the community to bear with any minor inconveniences that may be caused during this time.
