PHILIPSBURG:--- The Detective Department is presently investigating two separate shooting incidents which took place on Sunday, November 18th. The first one took place at around 03.00 a.m. in the vicinity of McDonald's on the Welfare road. According to the reports several shots had been fired and as a result thereof at least three vehicles were damaged. Several spent shell casings were found on the scene. These shell casings were confiscated for further investigation. No one was reported injured. No suspect(s) have been identified.
The second incident took place at around 04.00 p.m. in the vicinity of L’Esperance Hotel on Tiger road in Cay Hill. According to reports several shots were reported fired. On the scene, the investigating officers located several spent shell casings which were confiscated for further investigation. Directly after the shooting persons were seen running from the area. No one was reportedly been injured. No suspects were identified and the reason for the shooting is unknown. It is unknown if these two cases are related at this time.
