PHILIPSBURG:---Beyond Kultura Events Foundation is calling up all children and adults of Saba, Statia, Sint Maarten and Anguilla to participate in its writing competition on your experiences with Hurricane Irma and Maria. Deadline for submission of your poem is 31th of January coming.
For this competition, BKE will publish the 5 best winning poems in the newspapers of SXM. Winners can come along to radio programs to read their winning poems and children will be put into the spotlight in their schools.
If a book will be published, BKE will include the poems of the 5 winners in a book about Hurricane Irma on Sint Maarten. The winning writers will, in that case also receive 2 copies of the book.
A judge penal will judge the works in February. The 5 winners will be announced in each category letters and Poems via the newspapers and via their personal email account.
