Qualified candidate, husband of Head of Census Office was victimized.
PHILIPSBURG:--- The advertisement to hire a Head of Security at the Government building was placed in 2016 in the Daily newspapers by the then William Marlin Cabinet. Just before leaving office the husband of Kathy Snijders, head of Census office, was presented with an offer to fill the position by the Department of Personnel Affairs. After the change of Government, the offer that was presented to Mr. Snijders was withdrawn and placed on hold by Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin.
Candidates who applied in 2016 were among others Inspector Petty, a Police Officer, who for reasons unknown did not meet the criteria to fill the position and as such was not even interviewed or considered for the function of Head of Security in the selection procedure in 2016.
Recently SMN News was approached by some disgruntled Security Officers who are threatening to take legal action as Petty has been appointed Head of Security at the Government building as of January 15th, 2019 and according to the Security officers he has no knowledge of the job.
In a recent meeting that Petty held with the Security Officers he allegedly told them that there will be no overtime and other benefits will also be cut. The security officers are upset with the approach of Petty who seemingly does not have any managerial experience whatsoever.
According to the disgruntled Security Officers when they questioned the appointment and qualifications of Petty, they were told that this was a deal made between Petty and the Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin which was advised upon by the then head of Personnel Affairs Erno Labega who also didn’t follow the correct procedures in fulfilling the wish of the Prime Minister.
Information received from the disgruntled Security Officers also revealed that the Head of Facility Rick Martina and the Secretary-General Hensley Plantijn were also bypassed in this process to meet the request of the Prime Minister as the correct procedures were not followed.
SMN News highlighted in the past the continued victimization scheme that Prime Minister Leona Marlin that continues to exercise in giving instruction to Hensley Plantijn to fire the head of the Census office Kathy Snijders and now the victimization of her husband who is a qualified expert in the field of security.
Sadly, another scheme where the former head of Personnel Affairs Erno Labega worked along in fulfilling the victimization scheme of Prime Minister Romeo Marlin knowing that these things one day will backfire or come to light. It must be noted that Hensley Plantijn was not in agreement with the procedure despite this Erno Labega still fulfill the illegal wish of the Prime Minister.
Plantijn the Secretary-General for the Ministry of General Affairs is having is own legal problems with Romeo Marlin since she already told others that he is a “Sarah Boy that has to go.”
