Stabbing incident on Marigot Waterfront. (UPDATED)

marigotstabbing25030219MARIGOT:--- The Gendarmes are busy investigating a stabbing incident of a man identified as “JAY” from Cole Bay. Initial reports reaching SMN News states that the victim was stabbed in his vehicle bearing license plate M- 12813. The vehicle with the victim was driving was parked on the sidewalk in the vicinity of La Vie en Rose and Enoch Restaurant.
Bystanders said the man had 3 stabs wounds and he was taken to the Louis Constant Fleming Hospital with a knife still in his body. SMN News learned that two men had a dispute over the payment of a rental car which escalated and led to the early morning stabbing.
Several Gendarmes including the “Police Criminelle” secured the crime scene as they conduct the investigation.

A press release from the Gendarmerie states: 

Following a dispute over a vehicle, an individual was attacked this morning at the roundabout at Agrement. The individual was stabbed several times on the side and on his back.
The victim managed to leave the scene with his vehicle, then parked near the bakery overlooking the parking of the Waterfront.
 A Passersby alerted gendarmes when they saw the victim. Supported by firefighters, the person was taken to the hospital in Marigot. His vital prognosis is not known.
At the same time, the gendarmerie started an investigation at the port and very shortly after two persons were arrested and placed in custody at the Marigot brigade.
The investigation continues under the direction of the public prosecutor to shed light on this attack by stabbing.
