U.S. Consul General Greenberg Hosts U.S. Independence Day Reception at Roosevelt House.

4thjulycuracao04072019This evening, U.S. Consul General Allen Greenberg hosted a reception to celebrate the United States’ 243rd Independence Day for members of government agencies, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and the Consular Corps at Roosevelt House - the official residence of the U.S. Consul General.

Mr. Greenberg is a career member of the U.S. Foreign Service with a wealth of experience as a U.S. diplomat. He started his tour as the U.S. Consul General to Curacao and Chief of Mission to Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, Sint Eustatius, and Sint Maarten in June 2019.

“Becoming a resident in this historic Roosevelt House is humbling. It reminds me vividly of the efforts and sacrifices by earlier generations to build the security, prosperity, and ties of friendship between our peoples that we’re enjoying today. Everyone here tonight is a representative of this special relationship.

We need to continue and deepen this relationship into the future. My predecessors worked hard to make America a partner of choice. Our goal now is to see America and Dutch Caribbean cooperating even more closely. I want to make sure we pass on this important relationship to younger generations,” CG Greenberg said in his speech.
