EXCLUSIVE: Rene Koto Wilson shares views on crime on St. Maarten.

~ Says its Justice Chain needs to clean up sooner rather than later. ~

PHILIPSBURG: --- Activist known on social media as St. Maarten street Prime Minister Rene Koto Wilson decided to share his views on crime on St. Maarten after viewing the video posted on SMN News on Tuesday.
Wilson said the former Labor Inspector Ricardo Sprott took an oat while being a Labor Inspector on St. Maarten and it is rather unfortunate that he would choose to work under the radar while committing tax fraud.
Wilson said at least one of the persons whose names called in the video is related to him, “my fore-parents educated their children well and with integrity, yet their children chose to get involved in shady activities for the sake of big money.”
The Street Prime Minister said that the former inspector said that he informed senior civil servants of the illegalities, yet nothing was done. He said he is hoping that the Dutch legislators and those in the Justice chain locally take note of what is really happening on St. Maarten.
As for the transporting of undocumented persons by sea, Wilson said he asked himself over and over what has the Coast Guards have been doing. Wilson said that people of color that are caught in go-fast boats are being targeted while the real lawbreakers are skipped because of the color of their skin.
“Right now, I think the Justice System has to go back to the plan put in place by former Minister of Justice Roland Duncan who was trying to empower local policemen and coastguards to monitor St. Maarten waters. Having one entity patrolling the sea is not in the best interest of the country.”
Wilson said he is of the opinion that the local police force should be heading these investigations and if necessary then it will be transferred to other justice entities.
Wilson expressed his views on how much money wasted on St. Maarten especially within the justice system.
As for the Chinese Construction Company Wilson said that the Building Code drafted by former Minister of VROMI Christopher Emmanuel must be implemented.
Wilson said the Construction company needed to be monitored especially since the company is busy paying liquid cash for materials. The said company has been wiring large sums of money to at least two companies on St. Maarten.
