The Power of Knowledge motivational lectures return to the library.

tobaiswilison06082020PHILIPSBURG:--- During the month of August, the Philipsburg Jubilee Library (PJL) will offer a special list of motivational speeches that are part of the existing “Power of Knowledge Series” and which will be posted on the library’s online platform. For the next Power of Knowledge lectures of this year, the library has invited Mr. Rolando Tobias and Mr. Lenworth Wilson.
Mr. L. Wilson will speak on how to process the past, practice good habits, and prepare and plan for the future, while Mr. R. Tobias will speak on Financial Planning and Budgeting. These sessions will be broadcast on the library’s Facebook page and in the local media, starting August 11th, 2020, and ending in the last week of August.
Considering that we are in a time of great upheaval and looming economic troubles throughout the world, the speakers will urge and provide all citizens with tips on how to plan and prepare for life goals and how to effectively handle money. After all, it is not business as usual. This is where proper goal setting, readiness for crisis and adversity, putting structure and systems in place for the next generation and planning your financial life becomes imperative.
Special invited guest speaker Mr. Lenworth Wilson is an Educator and the co-owner and director of Wilson Total Wellness Company and a known leader in youth and community development through his non-profit organization, GIFTED Foundation since 2012. Mr. Lenworth Wilson shared he hopes that through his promotion of social responsibility, personal accountability and resilience his pursuit of purpose would guide others to find theirs.
In addition to Mr. Wilson, the other invited distinguished guest speaker will be Mr. Rolando Tobias, Senior Sales Leader at the Windward Islands Bank, who willingly agreed to share his expertise on financial planning. Mr. Tobias stated that “Becoming financially free is all about budget allocation. How do you spend on needs and wants, versus investing and striking the right balance in your finances”? He further elaborated that - Striking the right balance is what separates a millionaire from the average Joe. Mr. Tobias will also be going in-depth on learning how to tie your goals to your budget, how to make a budget, and track your expenses. For anyone who is interested in learning how to transform their lives in the financial arena or simply is trying to get a grip on their finances, this lecture is the transformative and essential motivational tool that they need.
Due to Coronavirus restrictions against large group gatherings, the lecture will take place online and will be broadcast on the library’s Facebook page stmaarten.Pjlibrary on: August 11, 13, 14, and August 18, 2020, at 7:00 pm. All viewings will be announced via Philipsburg Jubilee Library website: stmaartenlibrary.org
