Philipsburg:--- Passengers on the Carnival Cruise ship currently docked on St. Maarten are stuck on the island because the vessel encountered some technical problems.
CEO of AC Wathey Cruise Facility Mark Mingo said that the harbour is not commenting on the dilemma the passengers are facing. Mingo said that as CEO of the harbour and his team is doing all they can to have the passengers rerouted. Mingo further explained that he is not in a position to comment on the issues the cruise ship is facing. At the square in Philipsburg a number of security guards are placed on the location to prevent tourist and media workers from taking photographs of the broken down cruise vessel.
