TelEm Group technicians restore damaged telephone lines in Simpson Bay.

telemnewphonecabinet10102013POND ISLAND:--- TelEm Group technicians have completely restored telephone lines to residential and business clients in the Simpson Bay area and are now appealing to customers who are still experiencing problems with landline and internet connections.

The new telephone cabinet has replaced one that was written-off in an early morning accident last week when a motorist collided with the telecommunication connection point.

Technicians successfully "cut-over" the great majority of customer lines last Saturday, however, some customers have reported poor connections or interference on their lines since then.

TelEm Group Manager, Outside Plant, Mr. Marco London said Technicians have remained on site at the entrance to Pelican to deal directly with those customers still experiencing problems.

He is urging residential and business clients between the Simpson Bay Bridge and Cappuccino Restaurant in Simpson Bay to report any problems they are having to any TelEm Group location so that their issues can be dealt with right away.

"This is not the first time a cabinet at this location has been damaged by a passing vehicle so we took the opportunity this time to relocate this telephone cabinet further in from the side of the road. We have also applied to government for a permit to erect a barrier to protect this cabinet from future damage," said Mr. London.

On behalf of TelEm Group management, Mr. London has expressed thanks to customers in the area for their patience and understanding while technicians worked diligently to restore the damaged telecommunication equipment in record time.
