NA final meeting Wednesday to be aired live on radio and television. (UPDATED)

na2ndpublicmeeting24082014PHILIPSBURG:--- The National Alliance's (NA's) last public meeting, which will be held at the Scott's Property at the entrance of St. Peters next to the gas station. on Wednesday, August 27th will be televised live on St. Maarten Cable TV channel 120 as well as broadcast on PJD2 1300am from 6pm.

While the party encourages the community come out in large numbers to watch the meeting live in person, individuals who for some reason or another will be unable to attend can watch the proceedings on television and those without cable television can listen to it live on radio.

Leader of the National Alliance Member of Parliament William Marlin said in a press release on Sunday that the party chose to broadcast live to make it possible for persons who are unable to come out to still be able to follow the meeting and listen to the issues raised

"This public meeting will be a last chance for the public to hear the plans of the National Alliance before going to the polls on Friday," Marlin said. "The entire NA family therefore encourages each and everyone in the various districts to come out in numbers to listen to the 23 candidates on our slate speak about the burning issues and show the people of St. Maarten how NA intends to move this country forward by putting the people first."

"It is time that the government of St. Maarten is placed back in the hands of the people, to whom it belongs. NA has a proven track record of working for the people of this country and we intend to continue doing so when given the mandate for the next four years."

Marlin thanked the people of St. Maarten for their overwhelming support and turn out at all of the party's previous meetings in the various districts and for the particularly humongous crowd that came out to the public meeting in Cole Bay on Saturday evening. "This huge show of support is an indication that the people of St. Maarten remain committed to the National Alliance and are ready to take NA straight to eight seats for an outright win and a chance to govern for four straight years, come Friday, August 29th."

The last public meeting will be held at the Scot's Property on the L.B. Scott Road in St. Peters on Wednesday evening.
