Prime Minister Wescot-Williams at Opening of Computer Courses for the Elderly; "I Am a Firm Believer that as Long as One is Able to One Should Continuously Learn and Develop."

swescotwilliamselderlycomputers30092014PHILIPSBURG:--- The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams attended the opening of the Computer Literacy Courses at the University of St. Maarten on Wednesday. The PM, accompanied by Minister of Education Patricia Lourens, congratulated the participants and stated that she very much looked forward to expanding these courses more in the future; "I feel excited being here and I want to commend all involved, including the University of St. Maarten and Prime Distributors in making this possible. Now our elderly have the opportunity to learn something totally new and in some cases sharpening skills in developing ourselves. It is so important that we, as a community, recognize that the ongoing process of Nation Building where we realize the important contribution of our elderly to our nation. Similarly I am a firm believer that as long as you have breath and you are able to one should be able to learn something. There is always something to get to know and to learn about.

"In a few minutes you will be starting your course on this wonderful endeavor and expand this project much more, especially to include those groups who may not be able to make it to the University. Congratulations once again and I hope that we can together sit down and share what you have learned during this course," concluded Wescot-Williams.
