Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson to be replaced by Edward Kirindongo
PHILIPSBURG:--- Another shake up in the current coalition government will soon force Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson out of office. Last week Member of Parliament Frans Richardson confirmed to SMN News that he was approached by persons representing the coalition to join them as they move to strengthen the current government. MP Richardson said last week that he did not take a decision at the time he spoke to SMN News and also did not meet with the board members of US Political party.
However, SMN News has been reliably informed that Member of Parliament Frans Richardson has accepted the Ministry of Justice as he joins the UP/De Weever/LRMarlin coalition. A well-placed source said MP Richardson will appoint the former head of the Coast Guard Edward Kirindongo as Minister of Justice. So far Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson who just returned from the Netherlands was not officially informed of the shake-up that is about to take place.
SMN News learnt that MP Richardson wanted the Ministry of VROMI or TEATT, his focus was mostly on the Ministry of TEATT but is further understood that MP Meyers refused to give up the Ministry of TEATT because he is the one that appointed Minister Claret Connor to office.
While the political shakeup is ongoing and politicians went "missing in action" when they were called, SMN News further learnt that the UPP is looking into giving MP Leona Marlin a Ministry in order get her full support, however, that too could not be confirmed.
SMN News made several phone calls to MP Richardson over the weekend for an official confirmation on whether or not he joined the coalition and if he intends to remove the Minister of Justice from his post, but MP Richardson did not answer his phone. SMN News will bring you more information on the ongoing political shake up as soon as the information becomes available.
