Central Committee Meeting requested by DP and NA Factions about Port St. Maarten.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The Central Committee of Parliament will meet in public session on February 10 at the request of the Democratic Party (DP) and National Alliance (NA) factions.
The Minister of Finance Hon. Martin Hassink and Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications Hon. Claret Connor, have been requested to be present for the House session.
The Central Committee meeting is set for Tuesday at 2:00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.
The agenda is related to the discussion on the width and depth of the following issues related to the Harbour Group of Companies and the past and future impacts of such for the company and the country as a whole: Head tax issue; Deher's marina project; The Causeway (Turn over Tax payment); Crane issue; Government dividend and payment for the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association Conference (FCCA).
This meeting has been requested by DP faction Leader Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Sarah Wescot-Williams, NA faction MPs Hon. Silveria Jacobs, and Hon. George Pantophlet.
The three MPs in their correspondence to the Chairman of Parliament have requested answers be provided orally to the following five points during the public central committee meeting on Tuesday: What was the outcome between the Harbour and Bobby's Marina?
Has the Government given the Harbour Group of Companies the exclusive right of development for the area that the company claims in its case against the Deher's development? When will Parliament receive the harbour's 2013 financials? What did the Government promise to contribute to the FCCA conference and what did the Government actually contribute? Please provide Parliament with a financial account of the FCCA Conference held on St. Maarten.
Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend the parliamentary deliberation.
