PHILIPSBURG:--- United People's (UP) Party Members of Parliament (MP) Hon. Maurice Lake and Hon. Johan Leonard, attended a birthday thanksgiving service organized by Home Away from Home Taking Care of the Golden Age Foundation of Patsy Flanders.
The service was for seniors 80 years and older with the eldest celebrating her 96th birthday on Saturday.
The service was held in the John Larmonie Center and was conducted by Brother Nathaniel Richardson.
"It is always a blessing to be invited by the seniors of our country. We prayed, sang hymns and birthday songs to all those who celebrated their birthday.
"Once again, congratulations to all seniors and their families. They are the pioneers and backbone of country Sint Maarten. Thank God for them," MP Hon. Maurice Lake said on Friday.
