Prime Minister Reverse Decision taken by GEBE Supervisory Board --- Maduro back to work on Monday.

PHILIPSBURG: ---- Prime Minister Marcel Gumbs reversed the decision taken by the Supervisory Board of GEBE to fire its COO Romelio Maduro. The decision was taken on Friday after Maduro's lawyer Peggy Ann Brandon intervened and threatened to file an injunction against GEBE and government.
SMN News learnt that the Prime Minister reversed the decision seemingly because the shareholder representative (government) was not consulted prior to them taking the decision not to renew Mauro's contract and to give him up to Friday (yesterday) to vacate his office and be off the premises. With the decision taken by the Prime Minister on Friday is it's a clear motion of no confidence against the Supervisory Board of GEBE.
It is left to be seen if the government (Council of Ministers) will move to the next step and dismiss the entire board since they have been misusing their powers and have been targeting employees. It is also left to be seen if the COO Romelio Maduro will allow himself to be used by politicians and if the move taken on Friday to reverse the decision of GEBE Supervisory Board is ensure that Maduro is there to execute the MOU that was signed by him and GB Energy in the Dominican Republic and if he will also continue to use the company's credit card to pamper the supervisory board members like he did during the 2015 carnival season.
SMN News further understands that government also secured the CFO"s position since members of the management team wanted to vote a motion of no confidence against him.
