PHILIPSBURG: --- Reliable information reaching SMN News states that the leader of the United Peoples Party Theodore Heyliger contacted each of the members of the Supervisory Board of GEBE and asked them to make their positions available. A member of the board said they received the call on Thursday and immediately after that the chairman of the board hired of a law firm to defend their interests and to also inform the general public that the COO Romelio Maduro does not have a legal contract with the company and has been placed on non-active duty.
SMN News reported several discrepancies that are taking place at the government owned company even to the extent where members of the supervisory board are engaged in micromanagement.
SMN News also reported that the shareholder ( government) have decided to conduct a forensic investigation at GEBE.
