Posh Productions hosts a successful sponsorship presentation.

poshproductions21092 15PHILIPSBURG:---- Last Friday, Posh Productions hosted its first Corporate Cocktail Pageant Presentation for Corporate St. Maarten. This very “posh” evening was hosted at Princess Port de Plaisance and was well attended by the Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports, the Honorable Rita Bourne-Gumbs and representatives of various businesses on the island.
Posh Productions recognizes the general perceptions and reservations many institutions and individuals have about pageantry. Often times, pageantry is perceived as not serving much purpose or holding any value, but quite to the contrary, pageantry has significant importance for our community and serves as a pillar for growth throughout the world. The informational evening was deemed a success and Posh Productions accomplished their main objective, since many of the attendees expressed their change of perspective for pageantry after the presentation.
Posh Productions CEO & President, Anna Rabess-Richardson has been on a mission to change the concept and ideas of pageantry on St. Maarten by showing the community at large how pageantry, education and philanthropy are interlinked and can be very pertinent in directing the lives of our youth in a positive direction. These ideals and values were the main focus of the proposal that herself and Posh Productions’ Vice-President, Cassandra Weekes-Jeffers, presented to Minister Bourne-Gumbs at the Cocktail Presentation.
Like Maya Angelou, Rabess-Richardson believes that [her] mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. She encourages the schools and school boards to seriously consider nominating potential candidates for the various pageants geared towards young ladies. In the next few weeks, she will be in close contact with the various school boards to further the discussion about the benefits of pageantry and education.
Posh Productions will be hosting a second corporate cocktail reception in November. It will be at this next event that aspiring delegates for the 2016 Carnival Queen pageants and Corporate St. Maarten can get the opportunity to learn more about one another in the form of a meet and greet.
The Foundation extends its gratitude to the Minister and to all attendees for taking the time to learn more about this brand new pageant platform and how Posh Productions will make an influential difference for Sint Maarten through pageantry.
