22 year old Brandan Dixon, a former convict who was shot in the leg by police, second suspect, is a suspect in an angoing murder investugation in Nevis and possible suspect that assassinated Latoya Flanders.
PHILIPSBURG: --- The two suspects that police arrested shortly after an employee of Tackling Gas station was shot to death on Monday during an armed robbery and the robbery of Shell gas station in Simpson Bay are said to be well known to police. The suspect police identified as B.D (23) years old who was arrested in a black I-20 on the Causeway turned out to be Brandan Dixon. SMN News did its research and it turned out that the suspect Brandan Dixon is a Dutch national who recently got out of prison for another crime he committed. It should also be noted that Brandan Dixon was shot in the leg area by police last year while police was engaged in a chase to arrest Dixon for threatening someone with a firearm in the St. Peters area. The young man was shot by police in the vicinity of Cost U less in 2014. Further research shows that Dixon only recently got out of prison after serving his time. Dixon began his criminal activities since he was age 16, he was even sent Brasami and (GOG) in Curacao when he was arrested years ago. Even though Dixon is a known 'bad boy" he was recruited and was training to become a Bavpoler but was kicked out of the training when he was caught with a substantial amout of marijuana. Press prosecutor Karola Van Nie said Dixon was convicted on January 28th 2015 and he was acquitted by the Court of Appeals on April 29th 2015. The second suspect police identified as R.R (23) years old turned out to be Runald Robinson, a national of Nevis. So far SMN News could not find any information that shows that Robinson was involved in prior criminal activities on St. Maarten/ St. Martin but those possibilities cannot be ruled out. Press Prosecutor Karola Van Nie confirmed that Robinson did not have any other previous convictions. However, SMN News learnt that Robinson is wanted in Nevis for murder and he is the possible suspect that shot and killed Latoya Flanders at her doorsteps in French Quarter. However, police and the prosecution are very tightlipped on the ongoing investigations. Latoya Flanders was executed on November 5th 2015. According to information SMN News recieved is that Flanders was shot four times in the head area. The duo was arrested some 25 minutes after the fatal armed robbery that claimed the life of Gerard Saulveur, a Haitian national and employee of Tackling Gas Station in Cole Bay. Both suspects appeared before the judge of instruction on Thursday for arraignment and extension of pretrial detention. Van Nie said the pretrial detention of the suspects were extended by the judge of instruction by eight days.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Ian Queeley, told SMN News on Saturday that Robinson is a suspect in an ongoing murder investigation in St. Kitts and Nevis. Queely said that a bulletin was issued for Robinson but he was questioned and released.
