PHILIPSBURG:--- On the occasion of the 67th Republic Day of India, (IMA) Indian Merchants Association of Sint Maarten supports “The Gamali Benjamin Foundation for injured or fallen uniformed personnel" in memory of Late Benji who was our hero...he laid down his life in the line of duty to protect the citizens. Benji was a liked and respected by all the merchants in front and back street, his legacy was of a person who was very helping , understanding, friendly to merchants and at the same time staunchly committed to his Duty. The Indian Business Owners across the board showed their spontaneous support to this foundation, which along with Benji represents all uniformed personnel injured or
fallen in the line of Duty. Given the increase in violent crime on our island it is of utmost importance that these uniformed personnel who fight the crime head on have the support of such foundation.
