OSPP Condemns Bastille Day attacks.

lennypriest19042015PHILIPSBURG:--- As St. Maarten joins the rest of the world in mourning the deaths of the approximated 84 persons who died and the 202 injured during the Bastille Day celebrations in Nice France on Thursday, leader of the One St. Maarten People’s Party—OSPP—Lenny Priest extends condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of France, especially St. Martin.
“I and the OSPP condemn this inhumane and wicked act against fellow human beings. The frequency and brutality of these attacks leaves us all at a loss for words because it is truly inconceivable to me and I’m sure to others, that anyone or any group can have so little regard for human life,” Lenny Priest said on Friday. “While we here on St. Maarten have no control over world matters it does not stop us from feeling for these people because we are all human. Let’s all remember that we may look different to a particular group, we may sound different than another and have different beliefs but we are all a part of the same family--the family of God, and on St. Maarten that still means something and we must keep it that way. We are one people, one St. Maarten and we all condemn this brutal and senseless act that was perpetrated on Thursday,” Priest concludes.
