THE HAGUE:--- Minister Plenipotentiary, Her Excellency Mrs. Henrietta Doran-York recently received a courtesy visit from her colleague Minister Plenipotentiary of Curacao, H.E. Ms. Eunice Eisden, at the Cabinet of Sint Maarten in The Hague.
Minister Doran-York during her tenure as Member of Parliament in the former Netherlands Antilles, worked together with Minister Eisden in Parliament and also traveled together en route to Parlatino meetings in Paraguay and Argentina.
In the Netherlands, they also met prior to this official visit to the Cabinet, at several Kingdom Council of Ministers meetings, and other events such as at the New Year’s reception of his Majesty King Willem Alexander in January. This meeting was to allow Minister Eisden to formally introduce herself to the Minister Doran-York and the staff at the Cabinet of Sint Maarten.
Minister Doran-York, welcomed the Minister and expressed her willingness to continue to support both Curacao and Aruba as much as possible during her tenure in office.
The ministers discussed amongst other issues, their joint interest and plans for their respective Countries, and their fellow Countrymen and women residing in the Netherlands, as well as projects and programs which they are currently executing.
After a very fruitful meeting, where ideas were exchanged and brainstormed, Minister Eisden thank Minister Doran-York for the warm reception and both wished each other well.
