PHILIPSBURG:--- Management of GEBE suspended the Head of Facilities Marlon Ricardo until further notice. Ricardo was also asked to submit a certificate of conduct (Police Record).
On Wednesday GEBE management sent out a notice to their employees informing them that Ricardo is on leave of absence. GEBE management again mislead their workers by not informing them that the company is investigating an alleged credit card fraud which took place 2013 involving Ricardo and a local bank. The bank took Ricardo to court and he lost his cases both occasions. It should be noted that while management of GEBE requested a police record from Ricardo the cases he lost was done in a civil court and not criminal courts, therefore his police record will not have details on the alleged embezzlement that occurred at the local bank and the c$60,000.00 along with court cost he was condemned to pay.
According to information reaching SMN News all department heads at GEBE are now subject to screening by VDSM and Ricardo will have to submit all information on where he worked in the past and how he left those companies.
SMN News also learned that Ricardo allegedly has some arrangement with a furniture store that he contracted to do all work at GEBE.
SMN News wrote about the alleged cozy relationship management of GEBE has with Ricardo, ever since then his co- workers have been complaining about Ricardo’s behavior at the company and the information they have on the embezzlement cases that involve a local bank.
