Customers advised switching to AUTO
Pond Island:--- TelEm Group mobile voice and data provider, TelCell, will be carrying out maintenance work on its 2G network Sunday, April 8, 2018, and today advised customers on how best to remain connected during these works.
Subscribers are being notified about an interruption in their regular 2G service as a result of the maintenance work via text messages.
“Since the 2G service will be shut down for a while during the Sunday maintenance window we want to ensure customers have uninterrupted service by switching their mobiles to AUTO until the works are completed,” said TelEm Group, Manager, Network Operations, Julien Lake.
Mr. Lake said the works are scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm Sunday afternoon and end at approximately 6:00 am Monday. He has meantime apologized to customers for any inconvenience caused.
