PHILIPSBURG:--- What was deemed as an attempted armed robbery that led to the death of a young man on Chin Cherry Road seems to be a misleading article when the shooting took place on August 27th. SMN News learned that there is more to the shooting incident that involves a well-known person.
On Thursday the Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that one of the suspects was released while the other remained in pretrial detention.
The Prosecutor’s Office states that as a result of the ongoing investigation, the pretrial detention of the other suspect was extended on Thursday, September 6, 2018. The investigation is being overseen by the Public Prosecutor’s Office with the intention to establish the facts of the case. In the interest of the investigation, no further information can be released.
