POINTE BLANCHE:--- On Tuesday evening at Port St. Maarten, cruise passengers from the vessel Azamara Quest were treated to a performance by reggae royalty Third World.
The event organized by the cruise line started at 7.30pm and concluded at 9.30pm.
Azamara Club Cruises is considered the new, up-market cruise voyage experience for discerning travelers.
Azamara Club Cruises consists of three intimate ships, Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, and Azamara Pursuit. Each vessel can carry 690 guests and the cruise company caters to destinations around the world that larger cruise ships simply cannot reach.
Port St. Maarten Management is very pleased that the port was chosen as the venue for this entertainment event.
Third World is one of the longest-lived Reggae bands of all time. The band offers a unique style of ‘reggae-fusion’ comprising of various types of reggae-based music, including elements of R&B, funk, pop, rock, dancehall and rap.
Third World has 10 Grammy nominations and a catalogue of hits that include, ‘Now That We Found Love,’ ’96 Degrees in the Shade,’ and ‘Try Jah Love.’
