PHILIPSBURG:--- Fireworks began in Parliament Building shortly before the meeting to debate the 2019 budget on Friday morning. As the meeting opened MP Jurendy Doran from the National Alliance Faction informed the Parliament through the Chair that he was threatened by the Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin. Doran said the PM told him that he should keep talking and he will see what will happen.
In his response the MP said that he was elected by the people of St Maarten to represent them and he will continue to speak as it his opinion the Prime Minister is busy selling out the country. "Whatever you said will not frighten me I will continue to do my job."
