Community urged to check their passports for renewal, PSA released.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The Department of Civil Registry is urging all residents to check the expiration date of their Dutch passports and to renew them in a timely fashion.

“Many times, persons buy a ticket or have a traveling emergency without realizing that their passport has been expired,” said Head of the Civil Registry Department.

In order to avoid this situation, the community is asked to review their Dutch passports and check for the expiration date and that of their children.

In light of the need for this requirement from the community, the Department of Civil Registry and the Department of Communication have constructed a Public Service Announcement (PSA) that will be out for the public to view and be reminded of such.

In case of travel, whether emergency or pleasure, it is essential that every citizen’s official information and travel documents are up to date.

Here are the requirements if you are a Dutch National and are registered by the Department of Civil Registry.

First, make an appointment with the Department of Civil Registry, either by the Public Service Center, or online via sintmaartengov.org/civil registry, or call the office at 5420652:
