Three men arrested suspected of having a stolen vehicle.

BUSH ROAD:--- On Saturday September 6th, 2014 at approximately 4:00am, a Philipsburg Police patrol stopped a vehicle with license-plate P-275, in which three men were driving, in the vicinity of Star Mart Gas Station on the Bush Road. The officers recognized the driver as D.P. (19) who is not in the possession of a driver's license. The driver stated that the vehicle belonged to a lady who brought it for repairs to the garage where he works. He also stated that he did not have permission from the lady to use the vehicle. During a more in depth control of the vehicle the officers noticed that housing for the steering-column was destroyed and there was no key for the ignition. The driver along with the two passengers were arrested on the spot and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station where they were handed over to the Detective Department. The vehicle in question was also confiscated for further investigation.

Police gives info on how to detect possible stolen vehicles.

On August 21st, 2014 the Police Department published some very important information regarding the purchasing of used or second hand vehicles. These vehicles are most probably stolen. The information also included what the buyer should request from the owner and what he or she should look-out for to detect if the vehicle they intend to purchase is stolen or not.
