PHILIPSBURG:--- The management of GEBE including the current Chief Financial Officer Rene Gartner, the former Chief Operations Officer and others in the accounting department would have to give some explanations as to why they altered the spreadsheet regarding the invoices that were submitted by St. Maarten Service Provider over the four months period he worked for N.V GEBE. SMN News managed to get hold of the spreadsheets which clearly show that subtractions were done in order for those responsible for bleeding the company not to get caught swindling the government owned company. Already SMN News published several documents regarding St. Maarten Service Provider, a purchasing company that was hired by GEBE to do consultancy work, the checks that were paid out to Alfred Harley who still claims that GEBE owes him $68,000.00 for services he provided.
During the months of April and May, the persons who handled this spreadsheet did a number of subtractions when it became clear that someone was over paying St. Maarten Service Provider or Alfred Harley since he is not the owner of the company that is being used.
Members of the Supervisory Board remained mum on the issue but sources close to the board told SMN News that the board members are focusing their energy on getting those responsible for manipulating government funds prosecuted.
