Philipsburg:--- On Friday November 30th, 2012, the five day course on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), which was opened by the Minister of Justice Honorable Roland Duncan on Monday November 25th at the Divi Little bay Hotel ended. This course was organized by the Sint Maarten Police Force through the Ministry of Justice. The course was provided by the National Institute of Crime Prevention and given by police officer Art Hushen from the City of Tampa Police Department. Representatives from the police force of the BES-islands and Anguilla and representatives from the Tourist Department and Department of VROMI attended this course. All participants received their CPTED Specialist certificate at the closing of the course.
