Philipsburg:--- The Rotaract Club of St. Maarten Sunrise brought the Christmas spirit to the Pediatric Ward at the St. Maarten Medical Centre on Saturday 8th December, 2012. The Rotaract members took the initiative of providing a Christmas tree, decorations and gifts to the staff and patients at the Ward so they too can celebrate the holidays in the confines on their environment.
The club believes that Christmas is about sharing of ourselves with others, giving to others that need our help and reviving the old traditions of Christmas that our community have lost. What is most important to the members of the Rotaract club is promoting and participating in the magic and wonder that children find in Christmas. Rotaract wanted to show a time of love and generosity to the Ward and we are happy that we can put a smile on the children's faces at Christmas time.
The Rotaract Club of St. Maarten Sunrise would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Mr. Vhaugn Bahadur of Le Grande Marche for contributing the Christmas tree towards this cause. The club would like to take this opportunity to extend Happy Holidays to one and all and a prosperous New Year 2013.
