Two Dead in Anguilla Shootout, Three Severely Injured --- Anguilla Police Force hunting culprits.

THE VALLEY, Anguilla:--- The Royal Anguilla Police Force Criminal Investigation Department and Drug & Firearm Task Force are investigating a fatal shooting incident which occurred on Monday 17th December, 2012 at about 10pm at the Blue Diamond Bar in The Quarter which left two persons dead and three persons injured.

Commissioner of Police Rudolph Proctor said in a press release that at about 10:05pm a report of a shooting incident was received at The Valley Police Station where it was reported that two masked assailants armed with firearms entered the Blue Diamond Bar and five persons were shot.

On arrival at the Blue Diamond Bar, officers discovered the body of Anuery Derrick, age 32, a native of the Dominican Republic, who was unresponsive and lying on the floor. On further examination of the scene Officers discovered the body of Aswad Delonios, age 17 of Anguilla lying in the bushes outside the Blue Diamond Bar also unresponsive. The Emergency Medical Technicians were summoned to the scene along with a Medical Doctor from the Princess Alexandra Hospital. The bodies of Anuery Derrick and Aswad Delonois were later pronounced dead by the doctor.

The Coroners were summoned to the scene and granted permission for the bodies to be taken to Rey's Funeral Home pending postmortem.

Two of the injured persons were treated at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and discharged, while the third person is detained in the hospital undergoing medical treatment for injuries sustained.

SMN News learnt that at least two persons that were involved in the deadly shootout Monday night are currently on the run and the Royal Anguilla Police Force are busy hunting the suspects.
