Philipsburg:--- Chippie and RiddimBox Entertainment announce their strategic marketing alliance in presenting an international carnival show on the premiere night of the 2013 carnival season. The show will be dubbed The Main Event and is presented by RiddimBox and strategic partner Chippie. The international show, scheduled at the Festival Village on Saturday, April 27 will feature a host of high-profile international performers, ranging from Dancehall to Soca to Hip-Hop. Dancehall sensation RDX and veteran performer Lady Saw will be representing the Dancehall portion of the evening, bringing both old and new hits to the table to entertain the reggae-dancehall lovers. The Soca representation for the evening will be Teri Lyons, Nadia Batson & Tallpree; All seasoned performers with a string of high energy soca hits to their credit. Headlining the show will be international Hip-Hop super-star Busta Rhymes. The multi-talented hip hop performer is guaranteed to deliver a performance that is just as fast-paced and action-packed as his lyrics. "We are thrilled to be working with RiddimBox again," says UTS Marketing and Communications Officer, Ivy Lambert. "We have worked together on a string of projects in the past, with our most recent collaboration being only a few months ago bringing Dancehall artist Konshens to the island. We look forward to working with this team of professionals again whom have shown us they have what it takes to work with us in putting together a premium night of entertainment. We will also be doing our part in making it easier for the general public to attend The Main Event by offering a number of ways to obtain tickets. The Main Event is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th in the Festival Village. Tickets will be on sale starting next week Tuesday for $30 at all three UTS store locations in Philipsburg, Cole Bay and Marigot and will sell for $40 at the gate.
