PHILIPSBURG:--- The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams attended the Jazzeko Surinamese Evening at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library last Saturday. The Philipsburg Jubilee Library in collaboration with the Jazzeko band held the event entitled "An evening with Lieve Hugo: a taste of Suriname" where through the use of music the community was made about the diversity within the Surinamese culture. The entire evening was dedicated to the popular style of Surinamese music, called Kaseko and in tribute to the genre a documentary about the popular folk-music-singer "Lieve Hugo" was shown.
