PHILIPSBURG:--- In its endeavors to bring as many former Leos to the Sint Maarten Lions Club, the club recently inducted no less than six former Leos at an impressive induction ceremony at the "Oasis Lounge".
Alison Busby, Kelly Busby and Nathalie Busby of the former Alpha Leo Club (age: 12-18) of Sint Maarten and Veronica Browne, Nina Diaz and Carmen Reyes of the former Omega Leo Club (age: 18-30) of Sint Maarten were inducted into the Sint Maarten Lions Club at a special ceremony which was conducted by Past District Governor Lion Claudius Buncamper.
After all six prospects were duly instructed at special orientation sessions they were reminded by Lion Claudius Buncamper about their commitment to serve with love and dedication.
After they all took the Oath of membership their lapel pins were pinned on by their respective sponsors.
Alison, Kelly and Nathalie Busby were sponsored by Past District Governor Lion Wally Havertong and Veronica Browne, Nina Diaz and Carmen Reyes were sponsored by Past District Governor Lion Claudius Buncamper.
The new members' skills were tested shortly after when they were quite involved in the Senior Citizens' Annual Party and the preparations for the Multiple District 60 Mid Year Conference which is being hosted during this week by the local Lions Club at the Sonesta Maho Beach Hotel November 13th-17th.
