Prime Minister Wescot-Williams Receives Royal Couple at Government Administration Building.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams received Their Royal Highness King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands at the Government Administration Building on Wednesday. The Prime Minister, joined by dozens of Elementary School Pupils, received the Royal Couple for a tour of the Government Administration Building and a brief meeting followed by an appearance on the balcony of the Government Administration Building. Hundreds of residents crowded in front of the Government Administration building to greet the Royal Couple, the Prime Minister, His Excellency the Governor and Minister of Kingdom Relations Ronald Plasterk.

The Prime Minister extended her welcome to the Royal Couple and their entourage on behalf of the Government and People of St. Maarten. "On behalf of the Government and People of St. Maarten I would like to extend a warm welcome to His Majesty King Willem Alexander and Her Royal Highness Queen Maxima. We wish our King and Queen an enjoyable stay on our island as we extend to you our typical traditional St. Maarten hospitality," commented the Prime Minister.

The official program for the Royal Visit continued on Wednesday Afternoon with visits to various educational facilities, schools, sports facilities and monuments in the Historic Centre of Philipsburg, Front Street.
