PHILIPSBURG:--- Several questions are being raised as to who owns the Security Company that has workers guarding the Government Administration Building on Pond Island. SMN News learnt that a security guard identified as Hildo Scharbaai died on Sunday while on the job.
SMN News learnt that the security officer who was working at the Government Administration Building was found in a uniform similar to the uniforms that the government security officers wear but he is not a government employee.
Head of the government security said when contacted by SMN News confirmed that a security officer was found dead at the government building on Pond Island. He said that the security officer did had on uniform that is similar to the ones government security is wearing but that person is not working for the government of St. Maarten.
Further investigations done by SMN News revealed that the head of the Facility Services of Government owns his own security company and has since have them working on government premises. The head of Facility Services also confirmed that the security guard whom he said hails from Curacao died of a massive heart attack.
