PHILIPSBURG:--- 10 high school students have been nominated by their school's administration for the GIFTED Young King Awards, a part of the foundation's A Betta Tomorrow SXM event on May 31, 2015. This comes as part of the 3rd Annual Weekend of P.O.W.E.R. from May 28th – May 31st, 2015. The nominees are from two schools – St. Maarten Academy (Academic) and St. Maarten Academy PSVE.
The nominees in the different categories are: for Young King of Academics are Clifford Francois and Gain Spadaro Franco; for Young King of Athletics are Missael Benitez and Joshua Bowers; for Young King of Community Service are O'Heny Loredent and Nadjee Walters; for Young King of Expressive Arts are Wanderson Deridort and Jabari York; and for Young King of Leadership are Shakir Peterson and D'Angelo Philbert. The public can show their support for their favourite nominees by liking their photo profiles and videos on GIFTED Foundation's Facebook and Youtube pages.
The Awards show will be held on May 31st at the Port de Plaisance tent beginning at 6:30pm.
