Kids entertain, pamper country’s seniors

kidsseniors03112015PHILIPSBURG:---- A large group of pupils from All Children’s Education (ACE) Foundation school as well as the former pilot humanitarian section of the school helped pamper and entertain the country’s seniors during a festive-like visit to the St. Martin’s Home on Friday, October 30.
The group of approximately 40 pupils performed for the seniors in an effort to keep them entertained and in touch with the younger generation.
The visit started with one of the teachers performing a rendition of a Miley Cyrus hit song. The younger pupils then performed a sign language song entitled “The Four Greatest,” while the older pupils did an inspirational poem and sang a song entitled “Yes you can.”
At the end of the performances, pupils mingled and interacted with the senior citizens. Some pupils offered gentle massages to the seniors to loosen them up.
The visit wrapped up with pupils performing the sign language song entitled “Love and Care.”
Many pupils expressed their gratitude for being able to experience spending quality time with the country’s senior citizens. The pupils were happy to help bridge the gap between the young and the old during their visit and show the elderly citizens, the talents possessed by the younger generation.
ACE pupils visit the Home regularly as part of their humanitarian contributions to society and in an effort to give back to the community through outreach.
The school thanked the St. Martin’s Home for accommodating them and thanked the seniors for their warm hospitality.
